Green Fins edited

RCM also trains local snorkel guides on reef-friendly snorkeling practices. The training programme is supported by the Department of Marine Parks Malaysia and endorsed by Green Fins. Certified Eco-friendly Snorkel Guides are expected to adhere to certain standards while taking their customers out for snorkeling trips, similar to the Green Fins Code of Conduct. These guides will be assessed on a yearly basis to ensure the quality of their service. This is also in line with our efforts to promote sustainable marine tourism to reduce the impacts of tourists on coral reefs.

To find out more about these Eco-friendly Snorkel Guides, click here (for Tioman Island) and here (for Perhentian Island).
