Tourism Made Better

REEF CHECK CERTIFIED DIVE CENTRE

Join our network of partner dive centres that are committed to protecting coral reefs by becoming a Reef Check Certified Dive Centre. All you need to do is get one of your staff trained as a Reef Check Trainer.

Your dive centre will then be able to conduct EcoDiver trainings and we will work with you to establish permanent survey sites to contribute towards our Reef Check surveys. We will promote your dive centre on our website.

GREEN FINS

Be a Green Fins member. Green Fins is "a unique conservation approach for managing tourism impacts on coral reefs". This approach aims to promote sustainable practices in the marine tourism sector through introducing environmental standards to dive and snorkel operators.

green hotels

Adopt sustainable practices at your resort or chalet through the Green Hotel Standard. This standard is an initiative that aims to encourage hotels or chalets to practice more environmentally-friendly operating procedures to protect the environment.

We will introduce the programme to resort or chalet owners and assess their business based on the criteria listed in the Green Hotel Standard.

eco-friendly snorkelling guide (EFSG)

Get certified as an eco-friendly snorkelling guide by joining the EFSG course. The course will teach you snorkelling practices that reduce the pressures on coral reefs and marine life and also alternatives to harmful practices, such as anchoring, fish feeding, and so on.
