The education module topics below are suitable for primary school students (ages 7-12). Each topic includes presentation slides (in both English and Bahasa Malaysia), a teaching guide, as well as videos and supporting activities (if applicable).

In Part 2, we explore the threats facing coral reefs—from natural impacts to human activities—and the actions we can take to protect and preserve them.

5. Seagrass

Explore the biology of seagrass, its importance to both humans and marine life, the threats it faces, and the conservation efforts to protect it.

6. Mangroves

Learn about mangroves—their unique biology, where they grow, why they matter to both people and marine ecosystems, the challenges they face, and how we can help protect them.

7. Climate Change & Global Warming (CC & GG)

We'll take a closer look at the difference between climate change and global warming, as well as their causes and effects. Next, we highlight practical actions we can take to reduce their impact on the planet.

8. Marine Pollution

In this marine pollution topic, we explore how the ocean becomes polluted, the different types of marine pollution. We also look into why the ocean matters, and the steps we can take to protect it.

9. Marine Debris (Part 1)

In this introductory topic, we explore what marine debris is, the different types, where it comes from, and how it harms both the environment and human health.

10. Marine Debris (Part 2)

Part 2 of this topic delves deeper into the situation in Malaysia, as well as the various local and nationwide efforts. Next, we explore challenges when dealing with this issue.

11. Microplastics

This module dives into the world of microplastics—what they are, how they’re formed, and where they come from. You'll learn how to detect them, why they’re dangerous and most importantly, how you can help stop their spread.

12. Reef Rehabilitation

Learn why coral reefs matter and what happens when they’re damaged. Explore different rehabilitation methods—and discover other ways we can all help protect these underwater wonders.

13. Marine Protected Areas (MPAs)

Uncover the World of Marine Protected Areas:
Understand their purpose, challenges, and how you can be part of the solution.

14. Recycle and Reuse

Learn the 5Rs in dealing with the problem of waste and trash. Next, we'll look at what can be recycled, and why it matters for a cleaner planet.

15. Sustainable Tourism

We'll take a closer look at the sustainable tourism efforts in Malaysia and how we can play our role in contributing to these efforts.

16. International Coastal Clean-up (ICC)

ICC is an effort to deal with the problem of trash globally. In this topic, we look at how ICC is conducted here in Malaysia: the before, during and after an ICC program.
