Save The Waves App
Reef Check Malaysia is partnering with the Save The Waves App (STW App) to tackle coastal threats.
The Save The Waves App crowdsources data from coastal users (like you!) who identify coastal threats. With the information you provide, Save The Waves can determine and implement necessary stewardship projects to preserve coastal health, such as beach cleanups or water quality management.
Reef Check Malaysia will respond to reports of:
- ghost fishing gear,
- oil spills,
- bleaching, and
- destructive fishing threats
that are reported in the STW App within Tioman Island, Redang Island, Mersing group of islands, Mabul Island, and Larapan Island.
It takes all of us to protect our oceans. We need your help to get to as much threats as possible. Together, we can help our coral reefs.
