Reef Check Malaysia’s Annual Event 2022
On the 27th of October 2022, we had our Annual Event to celebrate turning 15 and to celebrate our partners, volunteers and supporters. During the event, our General Manager, Julian Hyde talked about Reef Check Malaysia’s history, the conditions of coral reefs up until 2022 and where Reef Check Malaysia is heading next.
Our Programme Managers, Alvin, Yun, Asma, and Ira gave an update on their programmes i.e in Tioman Island, Mersing Islands, Redang Island and in Sabah. Our Programme Development Manager, Theresa, on the other hand, gave an update on our work on marine debris and the recently held International Coastal Cleanup 2022.
